Lurking Danger - Mesothelioma
Longterm exposure to Asbestos poisining through more than 2,000 workplace and home based products can cause a deadly disease called Mesothelioma or Asbestosis ( a type of Lung cancer).
Low income housing structures in many parts of India use Asbestos sheets as covering material. But they are carcinogenic (Cancer causing). The Asbestos industry is using media sponsored features and advertisements to twist the truth.
Alternative sources like Steel, Stone Tiles, Clay, PVC fibre and Cellulose Fibre have to be promoted to replace Asbestos.

Do not fiddle with asbestos which is embedded in structure. Safe and controlled use of all kinds asbestos is not possible. Write to your Pollution Control Board. Let us know their response.
