Oracle @ Vizag

Oracle India Pvt Ltd has opened office in Vizag.

Its regional sales director (mid-market technology), Oracle India, said that the move was part of the company’s strategy to strengthen its presence in non-metro cities.

Oracle India currently has 6,500 customers and 275 partners (software solution companies) across the country.

The company sees a significant increase in their numbers in the coming years following its expansion plans in non-metro cities like Vijayawada, Jaipur, Lucknow etc.

Aluminium Unit in Vizag

JSW Aluminium, an unlisted company belonging to the owners of JSW Steel Ltd, plans to set up refinery as well as an Aluminium manufacturing unit at Visakhapatnam in the State.
In the first phase the company plans to set up the refinery unit, with capacity of 1.4 million tonne per annum, while the aluminium plant would be constructed in the second phase.

Hotel Industry blooming

Viceroy Hotel in Vizag:
Hyderabad-based Viceroy Hotels has embarked on a Rs 800-crore expansion plan to set up hotels in Chennai, Bangalore and Vizag.

“About one-third of the funds would be raised through equity and the rest via debt,” Viceroy Hotels vice-president Ravi Krishnan told ET. The Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Enterprise (ADAE) has recently picked up about 6% stake in the company while investor Rakesh Jhunjhunwala has picked up about 13.5%.
